We have now
started a new project called Mazed. “Mazed is a project to collect the myth stories of
South East Cornwall ( Caradon) relink them to their places of origin and see
them told in many different ways both old and new. - http://mazedtales.org/
We were divided into groups of 5 and all given a Cornish folklore. Our
story is about two farmers who are out on the moor (Bodmin Moor) to check on
their cattle. They manage to make some piskies angry, and they “mazed” one of

For this project I’m the director, something I’ve never been before.
It’ll be interesting, hopefully it’ll go smoothly. I am also the storyboard
artist and at the moment I’m working on the story and doing some rough
sketches. Biggest challenge for me is making interesting shots that aren’t too
static. This is something I’ve been struggling with my other storyboards.
Our main inspiration for the style we want to go for is Quentin Blake,
the artist who did the illustrations for Roald Dahl’s children books. A very
sketchy and ‘clean’ style that I personally think suits for both children and
adults.
